He spoke full of promise Not the one I knew Something mystic This way comes You make up your own Rules to survive Rules to survive Rules to survive We don't yet understand We don't yet understand We don't yet understand We don't yet understand For all the moments I was not brave Do you believe in fate She tends to speak in cursive The rest’ll just abandon Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew Not the one I knew

Long time All in vain Afraid I’ve fallen Out of grace If you see me in the club If you see me in the sky I walk on what used to be water Like Jesus I used to have power (flower) It’s a modern disaster It’s a total free fall Yet another chapter Nothin’ to see at all Motions set like plaster It’s all downhill from here As I hoped Some might say Think they call this feeling Outer space If you see me in the club If you see me in the sky I sink in what used to be water Thank Jesus I still have my power I’m a modern disaster On a total free fall Another closing chapter Lurches through the pink wall Potions free form faster Why the sense of urgent texture Even fake flowers Lean to the sun for warmth I didn’t choose melodrama Melodrama chose me Full circle like a puppy chasing its tail I already feel like a ghost in your life Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss

Cities rose and fell on your skin That’s the whisper you hear On the edge of a cliff Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss Long time All in vain Afraid I’ve fallen Out of grace If you see me in the club If you see me in the sky I walk on what used to be water Like Jesus I used to have power It’s a modern disaster It’s a total free fall Yet another chapter Nothing to see at all Motions set like plaster It’s all downhill from here As I hoped Some might say Think they call this feeling Outer space If you see me in the club If you see me in the sky I sink in what used to be water Thank Jesus I still have my power I’m a modern disaster On a total free fall Another closing chapter Lurches through the pink wall Potions free form faster Why the sense of urgent texture Even fake flowers Lean to the sun for warmth I didn’t choose melodrama Melodrama chose me Full circle like a puppy chasing its tail I already feel like a ghost in your life It’s a modern disaster It’s a total free fall Another written chapter Nothing to see at all Motions set like plaster It’s all down hill from here If you see me in the club If you see me in the sky Afraid I’ve fallen in vain Afraid I’ve fallen in vain Cities rose and fell on your skin That’s the whisper you hear On the edge of a cliff Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss Cities rose and fell on your skin That’s the whisper you hear On the edge of a cliff Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss Cities rose and fell on your skin That’s the whisper you hear On the edge of a cliff Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss Cities rose and fell on your skin That’s the whisper you hear On the edge of a cliff Death was an orange line At the end of the horizon We rely on a formula to survive On the edge of an abyss

about

Self Hurt is a remix EP featuring four tracks meant for the nightclub––the grittier side of my last album, Self Help. For me, this project is a dedication to the magic and ephemeral connections we make on the grimy queer club dance floor. Found family forged from rhythm, sweat, and alluring darkness.
